Scotch Buff quarry is located near Scotch corner at Gatherley Moor, the stone has been quarried from around the start of the 1900’s The stone has been used throughout the UK.
Scotch Buff is a medium grained sandstone, in general a buff coloured stone, as part of the characteristics of this stone it is normal for darker patched to appear throughout.
There are good reserves of stone available.
