Country Mansion, East Lothian
This impressive stately manor home situated in the East Lothian countryside has a rich history dating back to the 17th century.
The mansion, which stands at the centre of the estate has undergone several renovations and modifications over the centuries. The house is noted for its impressive architecture, which includes elements of Gothic and Tudor Revival styles.
The grounds are renowned for their beautifully landscaped gardens and woodland areas which surround the property.
The property required a detailed stone survey which found that the chimney stacks were in a dangerous and unsafe condition and required full replacements.
We were tasked with providing replacement stones which were all hand carved in Elswick Grey natural sandstone.
Further work to restore many parts of the main house were then completed including, window surrounds, finials, intricate trellis panels, and more.
All stonework was produced in Elswick Grey and Corsehill natural sandstone which matched the original stone used in the building.
